Command Master Chief William Dewilde retired from the United States Navy in 2017 after serving more than 30 years in various operational and strategic leadership roles. Master Chief Dewilde has garnered vast experience in leading SEALs and other Special Operations units worldwide. Master Chief Dewilde has completed 17 overseas deployments, 9 of those in direct combat operations. As a strategic advisor to senior Special Operations executives, he has planned and led numerous sensitive national combat and crisis response missions worldwide. William’s diverse military career gives him keen insights into the leadership and leadership dynamics of individuals in small and large teams operating in high stress zero failure environments.
Master Chief Dewilde’s previous operational assignments and executive level leadership tours include the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGROUP), SEAL Team Two, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Untied States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Naval Special Warfare Center and Naval Special Warfare Group Two. Master Chief Dewilde has been awarded the Silver Star and four Bronze Stars for Valor along with many other medals and various unit and campaign awards.
Since William’s transition from Naval service, he has moved into independent consultant roles for executive teams, concentrating on delivering innovative leadership solutions to American businesses in order to help them transform and succeed in challenging and dynamic environments.
William is a summa cum laude graduate of Norwich University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis. He holds a multi-engine, instrument-rated, commercial pilot's license from Flight Safety Academy. William has completed Executive Leadership studies at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
